From 2016 until 2021, Krystal served as the Executive Director of Cornerstone Jamaica. She diligently worked towards the CJ mission of bringing people and resources together to create sustainable programs that improve health and education in Jamaican communities.
A self-proclaimed “Jamerican,” Krystal hails from North Miami Beach, Florida. Her Jamaican roots add spice to her infectious, bright, bubbly personality. It is the pride in her heritage and dedication to helping underserved youth that spurs her commitment to Cornerstone Jamaica. Krystal relocated to Kingston, JA to contribute to Nation building and deepen her connection to her Jamaican heritage. Her hope is that more Jamaican descendants across the diaspora will move to Jamaica to create sustainable economic opportunities that improve the country.
With a background in TV/Film Production, Business/Non Profit Development and Marketing Strategy, Krystal has an eye for details with a powerful vision for the long-term goals that she uses, with the help of her talented team, to steer Cornerstone Jamaica’s growth.
Krystal earned her Bachelors in Radio Television Film Production from Howard University in 2010 and her Masters in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago in 2012. As a community leader in the cities of Washington D.C. and Chicago, for five years, Krystal worked with under served inner-city girls ages 8-18, as a mentor leading workshops on self-esteem, identity, education, sexual health, and career training.
